New treatments which can slow the progress of ´¡±ô³ú³ó±ð¾±³¾±ð°ù’s were given UK licences in 2024 but have not been recommended for ÐÇ¿ÕÊÓÆµ use by the cost-effectiveness assessment body , a decision which will affect 70,000 patients in England.
The treatments were shown in trials to slow the rate of decline as a result of the early stages of ´¡±ô³ú³ó±ð¾±³¾±ð°ù’s by an average of about four to seven months.
